I do love the wild card cartridge, but it was the paper dolls that sold me on getting a cricut. As a nanny of three girls, and someone who LOVED paper dolls as a child, I knew I had to have this cartridge when I got my cricut.
I had been telling the girls that I was getting a "cricut" and a "cartridge" for making paper dolls. Not that knew what any of that meant! They sure were thrilled the day I brought the stuff over. I made enough for the two older girls to each make one, as well as the two girls next door. They got to pick between a couple of hair bows, two dresses, two pair of shoes and a few different hair styles. They loved it, and each made a unique paper doll fitting to their own personality. I should have taken a picture of them. :( I will next time.
They loved it so much that they asked me to bring more the next day. I didn't have time to make more stuff, but I did the day after that. I had a plan by then. I made four sets of different paper dolls, and I told the girls that they had to earn the pieces to the doll that they wanted to make. (We were having a tough week) Sadly, that day they only earned two pieces. Which they later lost for fighting with each other. On Thursday they each earned enough to make the bride doll. We pasted them to paper, and drew other things to go with her, such as a wedding cake. (Again, I should have taken a picture)
Here is what I brought to them:
Each doll is glued to an envelope, which has enough parts in it to make four of that paper doll.
